EUWELD®HARD EXTREME is a unique torch brazing alloy comprised of a nickel/ bronze matrix with sharp edged “Virgin” Tungsten (Wolfram) Carbide suspended within the matrix.
APPLICATION:
Cutting or digging tools, dredgers, augers. The matrix erodes holding the tungsten chips lettinf dull particles fall away while exposing the next layer of sharp particles. For use on any cutting tolls where typical tungsten dull quickly.
ADVANTAGES:
- Matrix is non-fuming and provides superb “wetting action” to hold the Tungsten carbides exposed in the braze deposit.
- Excellent cutting action in drilling and rock cutting applications.
MECHANICAL PROPERTIES:
Tensile strength Rm (N/mm²) | Yield strength Re (N/mm²) | Elongation % |
490 | 440 | 27 |
TEMPERATURE RANGES:
- Working temperature: 878°C
- Melting range: 870 – 885°C
WELDING TECHNIQUES:
Insure that parts to be joined are clean. Pre-heat general area to 400°C and then specific area to 650°C. Melt off flux and apply to alloy.
RECOMMENDED TORCH SETTING:
Neutral flame
